Rescue/Rehab

Melleri that are in need of re-homing for any reason can be surrendered to the following contacts:

Tracie Cross:  mymenagerie_2004 at yahoo dot com
Jason Descamps:   admin at chameleondatabase dot com
Mike Gradwohl:   gradwohl2 at comcast dot net
Kristina Francis: editor at melleridiscovery dot com

If you are surrendering a Meller’s chameleon, please note that a document must be signed, stating that you relinquish all rights to the animal. This is standard in animal rescue.

If you want to have an experienced person rehabilitate your ill melleri, and then return it to you, it is best if you nurse it yourself or surrender it. Melleri do not do well with multiple relocations; they can have relapses of illness after being transferred. Your vet and advice from this group can help you home-nurse your melleri.

Boarding Services

Please note that boarding melleri is not to be done lightly, as a change of locale causes severe stress in this species. It may take your melleri months to get over having been moved one way, let alone two ways. The following contacts will board melleri:

Southern CA: Tracie Cross:  mymenagerie_2004 at yahoo dot com

Midwest: Jason Descamps:   admin at chameleondatabase dot com

Transportation

The following contacts will transport melleri with individual care:

Southern CA: Tracie Cross:  mymenagerie_2004 at yahoo dot com
